Corporate Experience

I understand leadership from inside the organisations where it has to work.

Before moving fully into leadership development, I worked across management consulting and HR within demanding corporate environments, including investment banking and asset management.

I worked with senior stakeholders, led complex programmes and saw first-hand what happens when decisions have commercial consequences, priorities compete and there is rarely enough time or information to make the perfect call.

That experience shaped the way I think about leadership.

The challenge is rarely a lack of intelligence or technical capability.

It is what happens when pressure, assumptions, competing needs and established patterns begin to influence judgement, communication and behaviour.

That is why my work remains practical.

Leadership development has to improve what someone is able to see, decide and do differently in the environment they are actually operating in.

25+ Years Understanding Human Behaviour

Knowing what to do doesn't always change what we do.

That has been one of the most important observations of my career.

A leader can understand the feedback. Know that a particular response isn't helping. Recognise the effect they're having on other people. Even know what they should do differently.

And still repeat the same behaviour when the pressure is on.

Over more than 25 years working with human behaviour, I became increasingly interested in that gap between knowing and doing.

Because behaviour doesn't happen in isolation.

What we notice, assume, believe and prioritise influences how we interpret a situation. That affects the decisions we make, the way we communicate and ultimately the impact we have on other people.

For leadership development to create lasting change, I believe we need to understand what is driving the behaviour, not simply tell someone what better behaviour looks like.

Insight matters. But leadership changes when insight changes what someone does next.

That principle became fundamental to the way I work with leaders today.

Why I Developed The Rakhi Method™

I don't want to help a leader solve one problem. I want them to be better equipped for the next one.

Over the years, I kept seeing the same pattern.

Highly capable people would come to me with a problem they genuinely wanted to resolve. A difficult relationship. A decision they couldn't make. A team that wasn't responding. Feedback about a behaviour they knew needed to change.

We could work on the immediate issue.

But I became increasingly interested in a different question:

Why had this particular situation become difficult for this particular leader?

Because once you understand what is influencing someone's judgement, decisions or behaviour, you can do more than help them manage the situation in front of them.

You can help them develop the capability to respond differently when the next difficult situation arrives.

That distinction matters deeply to me.

When someone trusts me with a leadership challenge that is affecting their performance, their team or potentially their career, I take that responsibility seriously.

My job is not to make them dependent on my judgement. It is to strengthen their own.

I want the leaders I work with to see situations more accurately, recognise what may be influencing their response, make stronger choices and have practical ways of handling what comes next.

That commitment became The Rakhi Method™.

It brings together psychologically intelligent diagnosis, leadership experience and practical frameworks to identify what is driving the challenge, determine what needs to change and turn that understanding into better leadership behaviour.

The measure of the work isn't how insightful the conversation felt. It's what a leader can do differently afterwards, and whether they can do it again when I'm not there.

Work With Me

If the same leadership problem keeps showing up, it may be time to look at what's driving it.

You may be dealing with a decision you can't resolve, a relationship that is becoming harder to manage, feedback you know you need to act on, or a pattern that is beginning to affect your leadership.

You don't need to have worked out exactly what the problem is before we speak.

That's where I start.

We'll look at what's happening, what outcome you need and whether working together is the right next step.
